2. Creating a Database Connection in MySQL Workbench

When you launch MySQL Workbench, you are presented with the MySQL Connections home screen.

Step 1: Click the "+" icon next to "MySQL Connections".
 
Step 2: Connection Parameters Dialog:
- Connection Name: Localhost Dev (or any custom label)
