Navigating millions of spreadsheet cells using only mouse clicks and manual scrolling is slow and inefficient. Mastering keyboard navigation, directional jumps, selection shortcuts, and the "Go To" utility enables you to traverse massive datasets instantly.
The standard arrow keys move one cell at a time. Combining arrow keys with modifier keys unleashes rapid traversal:

The single most powerful navigation technique in Excel:
Ctrl + Down Arrow: Jumps immediately to the final row of continuous data in that column. If the cell below is empty, it jumps across empty space to the next filled cell.Ctrl + Right Arrow: Jumps to the far-right edge of the contiguous data table.Ctrl + Up Arrow / Ctrl + Left Arrow: Jumps to the top or far-left boundary.Ctrl + Down Arrow, Excel instantly teleports you to row 1,048,576! Press Ctrl + Home to return to A1 immediately.To select cells while navigating, incorporate the Shift key:
Shift + Arrow Keys: Expands selection by one cell in any direction.Ctrl + Shift + Down Arrow: Selects from the active cell all the way down to the last continuous data cell in the column (indispensable for highlighting 50,000 rows in 0.1 seconds!).Ctrl + Shift + Right Arrow: Expands selection to the last column of the table.Ctrl + A: Selects the entire contiguous data block or table. Pressing Ctrl + A a second time selects the entire worksheet (all 17 billion cells!).Ctrl + G)M500), and press Enter.
